21. Al-Anbya Page 326قُلْSayاِنَّمَاۤOnlyاُنْذِرُكُمْI warn youبِالْوَحْیِ ۖؗby the revelationوَ لَاBut notیَسْمَعُhearالصُّمُّthe deafالدُّعَآءَthe callاِذَاwhenمَاwhenیُنْذَرُوْنَ they are warned
(21:45) Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.
وَ لَىِٕنْAnd ifمَّسَّتْهُمْtouches themنَفْحَةٌa whiffمِّنْofعَذَابِ(the) punishmentرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordلَیَقُوْلُنَّsurely they will sayیٰوَیْلَنَاۤO woe to us!اِنَّاIndeed weكُنَّا[we] wereظٰلِمِیْنَ wrongdoers
(21:46) And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."
وَ نَضَعُAnd We setالْمَوَازِیْنَthe scalesالْقِسْطَ(of) the justiceلِیَوْمِfor (the) Dayالْقِیٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفَلَاso notتُظْلَمُwill be wrongedنَفْسٌany soulشَیْـًٔا ؕ(in) anythingوَ اِنْAnd ifكَانَ(there) beمِثْقَالَweightحَبَّةٍ(of) a seedمِّنْofخَرْدَلٍa mustardاَتَیْنَاWe will bringبِهَا ؕ[with] itوَ كَفٰیAnd sufficientبِنَا(are) Weحٰسِبِیْنَ (as) Reckoners
(21:47) And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.
وَ لَقَدْAnd verilyاٰتَیْنَاWe gaveمُوْسٰیMusaوَ هٰرُوْنَand Harunالْفُرْقَانَthe Criterionوَ ضِیَآءًand a lightوَّ ذِكْرًاand a Reminderلِّلْمُتَّقِیْنَۙfor the righteous
(21:48) And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous
الَّذِیْنَThose whoیَخْشَوْنَfearرَبَّهُمْtheir Lordبِالْغَیْبِin the unseenوَ هُمْand theyمِّنَofالسَّاعَةِthe Hourمُشْفِقُوْنَ (are) afraid
(21:49) Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.
وَ هٰذَاAnd thisذِكْرٌ(is) a Reminderمُّبٰرَكٌblessedاَنْزَلْنٰهُ ؕwhich We (have) revealedاَفَاَنْتُمْThen are youلَهٗof itمُنْكِرُوْنَ۠rejecters
(21:50) And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted?
وَ لَقَدْAnd verilyاٰتَیْنَاۤWe gaveاِبْرٰهِیْمَIbrahimرُشْدَهٗhis guidanceمِنْbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَ كُنَّاand We wereبِهٖabout himعٰلِمِیْنَۚWell-Knowing
(21:51) And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing
اِذْWhenقَالَhe saidلِاَبِیْهِto his fatherوَ قَوْمِهٖand his peopleمَاWhatهٰذِهِ(are) theseالتَّمَاثِیْلُ[the] statuesالَّتِیْۤwhichاَنْتُمْyouلَهَاto itعٰكِفُوْنَ (are) devoted
(21:52) When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"
قَالُوْاThey saidوَجَدْنَاۤWe foundاٰبَآءَنَاour forefathersلَهَاof themعٰبِدِیْنَ worshippers
(21:53) They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."
قَالَHe saidلَقَدْVerilyكُنْتُمْyou areاَنْتُمْ[you]وَ اٰبَآؤُكُمْand your forefathersفِیْ(were) inضَلٰلٍan errorمُّبِیْنٍ manifest
(21:54) He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."
قَالُوْۤاThey saidاَجِئْتَنَاHave you come to usبِالْحَقِّwith the truthاَمْorاَنْتَyouمِنَ(are) ofاللّٰعِبِیْنَ those who play
(21:55) They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"
قَالَHe saidبَلْNayرَّبُّكُمْyour Lordرَبُّ(is the) Lordالسَّمٰوٰتِ(of) the heavensوَ الْاَرْضِand the earthالَّذِیْthe One Whoفَطَرَهُنَّ ۖؗcreated themوَ اَنَاand I amعَلٰیtoذٰلِكُمْthatمِّنَofالشّٰهِدِیْنَ the witnesses
(21:56) He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.
وَ تَاللّٰهِAnd by Allahلَاَكِیْدَنَّsurely I will planاَصْنَامَكُمْ(against) your idolsبَعْدَafterاَنْ[that]تُوَلُّوْاyou go awayمُدْبِرِیْنَ turning (your) backs
(21:57) And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."
21. Al-Anbya Page 327فَجَعَلَهُمْSo he made themجُذٰذًا(into) piecesاِلَّاexceptكَبِیْرًاa large (one)لَّهُمْof themلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayاِلَیْهِto itیَرْجِعُوْنَ return
(21:58) So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
قَالُوْاThey saidمَنْWhoفَعَلَ(has) doneهٰذَاthisبِاٰلِهَتِنَاۤto our godsاِنَّهٗIndeed heلَمِنَ(is) ofالظّٰلِمِیْنَ the wrongdoers
(21:59) They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."
قَالُوْاThey saidسَمِعْنَاWe heardفَتًیa youthیَّذْكُرُهُمْmention themیُقَالُhe is calledلَهٗۤhe is calledاِبْرٰهِیْمُؕIbrahim
(21:60) They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."
قَالُوْاThey saidفَاْتُوْاThen bringبِهٖhimعَلٰۤیbeforeاَعْیُنِ(the) eyesالنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayیَشْهَدُوْنَ bear witness
(21:61) They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."
قَالُوْۤاThey saidءَاَنْتَHave youفَعَلْتَdoneهٰذَاthisبِاٰلِهَتِنَاto our godsیٰۤاِبْرٰهِیْمُؕO Ibrahim
(21:62) They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"
قَالَHe saidبَلْNayفَعَلَهٗ ۖۗ(some doer) did itكَبِیْرُهُمْTheir chiefهٰذَا(is) thisفَسْـَٔلُوْهُمْSo ask themاِنْifكَانُوْاthey (can)یَنْطِقُوْنَ speak
(21:63) He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
فَرَجَعُوْۤاSo they returnedاِلٰۤیtoاَنْفُسِهِمْthemselvesفَقَالُوْۤاand saidاِنَّكُمْIndeed youاَنْتُمُ[you]الظّٰلِمُوْنَۙ(are) the wrongdoers
(21:64) So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
ثُمَّThenنُكِسُوْاthey were turnedعَلٰیonرُءُوْسِهِمْ ۚtheir headsلَقَدْVerilyعَلِمْتَyou knowمَاnotهٰۤؤُلَآءِtheseیَنْطِقُوْنَ (can) speak!
(21:65) Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
قَالَHe saidاَفَتَعْبُدُوْنَThen do you worshipمِنْbesidesدُوْنِbesidesاللّٰهِAllahمَاwhatلَا(does) notیَنْفَعُكُمْbenefit youشَیْـًٔا(in) anythingوَّ لَاand notیَضُرُّكُمْؕharms you
(21:66) He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
اُفٍّUffلَّكُمْto youوَ لِمَاand to whatتَعْبُدُوْنَyou worshipمِنْbesidesدُوْنِbesidesاللّٰهِ ؕAllahاَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُوْنَ you use reason
(21:67) Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?"
قَالُوْاThey saidحَرِّقُوْهُBurn himوَ انْصُرُوْۤاand supportاٰلِهَتَكُمْyour godsاِنْifكُنْتُمْyou areفٰعِلِیْنَ doers
(21:68) They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
قُلْنَاWe saidیٰنَارُO fire!كُوْنِیْBeبَرْدًاcool[ness]وَّ سَلٰمًاand safe[ty]عَلٰۤیforاِبْرٰهِیْمَۙIbrahim
(21:69) Allah said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."
وَ اَرَادُوْاAnd they intendedبِهٖfor himكَیْدًاa planفَجَعَلْنٰهُمُbut We made themالْاَخْسَرِیْنَۚthe greatest losers
(21:70) And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers.
وَ نَجَّیْنٰهُAnd We delivered himوَ لُوْطًاand Lutاِلَیtoالْاَرْضِthe landالَّتِیْwhichبٰرَكْنَاWe (had) blessedفِیْهَا[in it]لِلْعٰلَمِیْنَ for the worlds
(21:71) And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds.
وَ وَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedلَهٗۤon himاِسْحٰقَ ؕIshaqوَ یَعْقُوْبَand Yaqubنَافِلَةً ؕ(in) additionوَ كُلًّاand allجَعَلْنَاWe madeصٰلِحِیْنَ righteous
(21:72) And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
21. Al-Anbya Page 328وَ جَعَلْنٰهُمْAnd We made themاَىِٕمَّةًleadersیَّهْدُوْنَthey guideبِاَمْرِنَاby Our Commandوَ اَوْحَیْنَاۤAnd We inspiredاِلَیْهِمْto themفِعْلَ(the) doingالْخَیْرٰتِ(of) good deedsوَ اِقَامَand establishmentالصَّلٰوةِ(of) the prayerوَ اِیْتَآءَand givingالزَّكٰوةِ ۚ(of) zakahوَ كَانُوْاand they wereلَنَاof Usعٰبِدِیْنَۚۙworshippers
(21:73) And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us.
وَ لُوْطًاAnd (to) LutاٰتَیْنٰهُWe gave himحُكْمًاjudgmentوَّ عِلْمًاand knowledgeوَّ نَجَّیْنٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromالْقَرْیَةِthe townالَّتِیْwhichكَانَتْwasتَّعْمَلُdoingالْخَبٰٓىِٕثَ ؕwicked deedsاِنَّهُمْIndeed theyكَانُوْاwereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍevilفٰسِقِیْنَۙdefiantly disobedient
(21:74) And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient.
وَ اَدْخَلْنٰهُAnd We admitted himفِیْintoرَحْمَتِنَا ؕOur MercyاِنَّهٗIndeed heمِنَ(was) ofالصّٰلِحِیْنَ۠the righteous
(21:75) And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.
وَ نُوْحًاAnd Nuhاِذْwhenنَادٰیhe calledمِنْbeforeقَبْلُbeforeفَاسْتَجَبْنَاso We respondedلَهٗto himفَنَجَّیْنٰهُand We saved himوَ اَهْلَهٗand his familyمِنَfromالْكَرْبِthe afflictionالْعَظِیْمِۚ[the] great
(21:76) And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood.
وَ نَصَرْنٰهُAnd We helped himمِنَfromالْقَوْمِthe peopleالَّذِیْنَwhoكَذَّبُوْاdeniedبِاٰیٰتِنَا ؕOur SignsاِنَّهُمْIndeed theyكَانُوْاwereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍevilفَاَغْرَقْنٰهُمْso We drowned themاَجْمَعِیْنَ all
(21:77) And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.
وَ دَاوٗدَAnd Dawudوَ سُلَیْمٰنَand Sulaimanاِذْwhenیَحْكُمٰنِthey judgedفِیconcerningالْحَرْثِthe fieldاِذْwhenنَفَشَتْpasturedفِیْهِin itغَنَمُsheepالْقَوْمِ ۚ(of) a peopleوَ كُنَّاand We wereلِحُكْمِهِمْto their judgmentشٰهِدِیْنَۗۙwitness
(21:78) And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
فَفَهَّمْنٰهَاAnd We gave understanding of itسُلَیْمٰنَ ۚ(to) Sulaimanوَ كُلًّاand (to) eachاٰتَیْنَاWe gaveحُكْمًاjudgmentوَّ عِلْمًا ؗand knowledgeوَّ سَخَّرْنَاAnd We subjectedمَعَwithدَاوٗدَDawudالْجِبَالَthe mountainsیُسَبِّحْنَ(to) glorify Our praisesوَ الطَّیْرَ ؕand the birdsوَ كُنَّاAnd We wereفٰعِلِیْنَ the Doers
(21:79) And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].
وَ عَلَّمْنٰهُAnd We taught himصَنْعَةَ(the) makingلَبُوْسٍ(of) coats of armorلَّكُمْfor youلِتُحْصِنَكُمْto protect youمِّنْۢfromبَاْسِكُمْ ۚyour battleفَهَلْThen willاَنْتُمْyouشٰكِرُوْنَ (be) grateful
(21:80) And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?
وَ لِسُلَیْمٰنَAnd to Sulaimanالرِّیْحَthe windعَاصِفَةًforcefullyتَجْرِیْblowingبِاَمْرِهٖۤby his commandاِلَیtoالْاَرْضِthe landالَّتِیْwhichبٰرَكْنَاWe blessedفِیْهَا ؕ[in it]وَ كُنَّاAnd We areبِكُلِّof everyشَیْءٍthingعٰلِمِیْنَ Knowers
(21:81) And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.
21. Al-Anbya Page 329وَ مِنَAnd ofالشَّیٰطِیْنِthe devilsمَنْ(were some) whoیَّغُوْصُوْنَwould diveلَهٗfor himوَ یَعْمَلُوْنَand would doعَمَلًاworkدُوْنَother thanذٰلِكَ ۚthatوَ كُنَّاAnd We wereلَهُمْof themحٰفِظِیْنَۙGuardians
(21:82) And of the devils were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.
وَ اَیُّوْبَAnd Ayubاِذْwhenنَادٰیhe calledرَبَّهٗۤ(to) his LordاَنِّیْIndeed [I]مَسَّنِیَhas touched meالضُّرُّthe adversityوَ اَنْتَand Youاَرْحَمُ(are) Most Mercifulالرّٰحِمِیْنَۚۖ(of) the Merciful
(21:83) And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."
فَاسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهٗto himفَكَشَفْنَاand We removedمَاwhatبِهٖ(was) on himمِنْofضُرٍّ(the) adversityوَّ اٰتَیْنٰهُAnd We gave himاَهْلَهٗhis familyوَ مِثْلَهُمْand (the) like thereofمَّعَهُمْwith themرَحْمَةً(as) Mercyمِّنْfrom Ourselvesعِنْدِنَاfrom Ourselvesوَ ذِكْرٰیand a reminderلِلْعٰبِدِیْنَ for the worshippers
(21:84) So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allah].
وَ اِسْمٰعِیْلَAnd Ismailوَ اِدْرِیْسَand Idrisوَ ذَاand Dhul-Kiflالْكِفْلِ ؕand Dhul-Kiflكُلٌّallمِّنَ(were) ofالصّٰبِرِیْنَۚۖthe patient ones
(21:85) And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
وَ اَدْخَلْنٰهُمْAnd We admitted themفِیْinرَحْمَتِنَا ؕOur MercyاِنَّهُمْIndeed theyمِّنَ(were) ofالصّٰلِحِیْنَ the righteous
(21:86) And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.
وَ ذَاAnd Dhun-NunالنُّوْنِAnd Dhun-Nunاِذْwhenذَّهَبَhe wentمُغَاضِبًا(while) angryفَظَنَّand thoughtاَنْthatلَّنْneverنَّقْدِرَWe would decreeعَلَیْهِupon himفَنَادٰیThen he calledفِیinالظُّلُمٰتِthe darkness(es)اَنْthatلَّاۤ(There is) noاِلٰهَgodاِلَّاۤexceptاَنْتَYouسُبْحٰنَكَ ۖۗGlory be to YouاِنِّیْIndeed, [I]كُنْتُI amمِنَofالظّٰلِمِیْنَۚۖthe wrongdoers
(21:87) And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
فَاسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهٗ ۙto himوَ نَجَّیْنٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromالْغَمِّ ؕthe distressوَ كَذٰلِكَAnd thusنُـْۨجِیWe saveالْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ the believers
(21:88) So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.
وَ زَكَرِیَّاۤAnd Zakariyaاِذْwhenنَادٰیhe calledرَبَّهٗ(to) his LordرَبِّMy Lord!لَا(Do) notتَذَرْنِیْleave meفَرْدًاaloneوَّ اَنْتَwhile Youخَیْرُ(are) [the] Bestالْوٰرِثِیْنَۚۖ(of) the inheritors
(21:89) And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors."
فَاسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهٗ ؗto himوَ وَهَبْنَاand We bestowedلَهٗon himیَحْیٰیYahyaوَ اَصْلَحْنَاand We curedلَهٗfor himزَوْجَهٗ ؕhis wifeاِنَّهُمْIndeed theyكَانُوْاused (to)یُسٰرِعُوْنَhastenفِیinالْخَیْرٰتِgood deedsوَ یَدْعُوْنَنَاand they supplicate to Usرَغَبًا(in) hopeوَّ رَهَبًا ؕand fearوَ كَانُوْاand they wereلَنَاto Usخٰشِعِیْنَ humbly submissive
(21:90) So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.
21. Al-Anbya Page 330وَ الَّتِیْۤAnd she whoاَحْصَنَتْguardedفَرْجَهَاher chastityفَنَفَخْنَاso We breathedفِیْهَاinto herمِنْofرُّوْحِنَاOur Spiritوَ جَعَلْنٰهَاand We made herوَ ابْنَهَاۤand her sonاٰیَةًa signلِّلْعٰلَمِیْنَ for the worlds
(21:91) And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.
اِنَّIndeedهٰذِهٖۤthisاُمَّتُكُمْ(is) your religionاُمَّةًreligionوَّاحِدَةً ۖؗoneوَّ اَنَاand I Amرَبُّكُمْyour Lordفَاعْبُدُوْنِ so worship Me
(21:92) Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
وَ تَقَطَّعُوْۤاBut they cut offاَمْرَهُمْtheir affairبَیْنَهُمْ ؕamong themselvesكُلٌّallاِلَیْنَاto Usرٰجِعُوْنَ۠(will) return
(21:93) And [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.
فَمَنْThen whoeverیَّعْمَلْdoesمِنَ[of]الصّٰلِحٰتِ[the] righteous deedsوَ هُوَwhile heمُؤْمِنٌ(is) a believerفَلَاthen notكُفْرَانَ(will be) rejectedلِسَعْیِهٖ ۚ[of] his effortوَ اِنَّاAnd indeed Weلَهٗof itكٰتِبُوْنَ (are) Recorders
(21:94) So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We, of it, are recorders.
وَ حَرٰمٌAnd (there is) prohibitionعَلٰیuponقَرْیَةٍa cityاَهْلَكْنٰهَاۤwhich We have destroyedاَنَّهُمْthat theyلَاnotیَرْجِعُوْنَ will return
(21:95) And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return
حَتّٰۤیUntilاِذَاwhenفُتِحَتْhas been openedیَاْجُوْجُ(for) the Yajujوَ مَاْجُوْجُand Majujوَ هُمْand theyمِّنْfromكُلِّeveryحَدَبٍelevationیَّنْسِلُوْنَ descend
(21:96) Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend
وَ اقْتَرَبَAnd has approachedالْوَعْدُthe promiseالْحَقُّ[the] trueفَاِذَاthen beholdهِیَ[it]شَاخِصَةٌ(are) staringاَبْصَارُ(the) eyesالَّذِیْنَ(of) those whoكَفَرُوْا ؕdisbelievedیٰوَیْلَنَاO woe to us!قَدْVerilyكُنَّاwe had beenفِیْinغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمِّنْofهٰذَاthisبَلْnayكُنَّاwe wereظٰلِمِیْنَ wrongdoers
(21:97) And [when] the true promise has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."
اِنَّكُمْIndeed, youوَ مَاand whatتَعْبُدُوْنَyou worshipمِنْbesides Allahدُوْنِbesides Allahاللّٰهِbesides Allahحَصَبُ(are) firewoodجَهَنَّمَ ؕ(of) HellاَنْتُمْYouلَهَاto itوٰرِدُوْنَ will come
(21:98) Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.
لَوْIfكَانَwereهٰۤؤُلَآءِtheseاٰلِهَةًgodsمَّاnotوَرَدُوْهَا ؕthey (would) have come to itوَ كُلٌّAnd allفِیْهَاthereinخٰلِدُوْنَ will abide forever
(21:99) Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.
لَهُمْFor themفِیْهَاthereinزَفِیْرٌ(is) sighingوَّ هُمْand theyفِیْهَاthereinلَاnotیَسْمَعُوْنَ will hear
(21:100) For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear.
اِنَّIndeedالَّذِیْنَthoseسَبَقَتْhas gone forthلَهُمْfor themمِّنَّاfrom Usالْحُسْنٰۤی ۙthe goodاُولٰٓىِٕكَthoseعَنْهَاfrom itمُبْعَدُوْنَۙ(will be) removed far
(21:101) Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.
21. Al-Anbya Page 331لَاNotیَسْمَعُوْنَthey will hearحَسِیْسَهَا ۚ(the) slightest sound of itوَ هُمْand theyفِیْinمَاwhatاشْتَهَتْdesireاَنْفُسُهُمْtheir soulsخٰلِدُوْنَۚwill abide forever
(21:102) They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.
لَاNotیَحْزُنُهُمُwill grieve themالْفَزَعُthe terrorالْاَكْبَرُ[the] greatestوَ تَتَلَقّٰىهُمُand will meet themالْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ ؕthe AngelsهٰذَاThisیَوْمُكُمُ(is) your Dayالَّذِیْwhichكُنْتُمْyou wereتُوْعَدُوْنَ promised
(21:103) They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised" -
یَوْمَ(The) DayنَطْوِیWe will foldالسَّمَآءَthe heavenكَطَیِّlike (the) foldingالسِّجِلِّ(of) a scrollلِلْكُتُبِ ؕfor recordsكَمَاAsبَدَاْنَاۤWe beganاَوَّلَ(the) firstخَلْقٍcreationنُّعِیْدُهٗ ؕWe will repeat itوَعْدًاa promiseعَلَیْنَا ؕupon UsاِنَّاIndeed WeكُنَّاWe areفٰعِلِیْنَ (the) Doers
(21:104) The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.
وَ لَقَدْAnd verilyكَتَبْنَاWe have writtenفِیinالزَّبُوْرِthe Scriptureمِنْۢafterبَعْدِafterالذِّكْرِthe mentionاَنَّthatالْاَرْضَthe earthیَرِثُهَاwill inherit itعِبَادِیَMy slavesالصّٰلِحُوْنَ the righteous
(21:105) And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.
اِنَّIndeedفِیْinهٰذَاthisلَبَلٰغًاsurely is a Messageلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleعٰبِدِیْنَؕworshippers
(21:106) Indeed, in this [Qur'an] is notification for a worshipping people.
وَ مَاۤAnd notاَرْسَلْنٰكَWe have sent youاِلَّاbutرَحْمَةً(as) a mercyلِّلْعٰلَمِیْنَ for the worlds
(21:107) And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.
قُلْSayاِنَّمَاOnlyیُوْحٰۤیit is revealedاِلَیَّto meاَنَّمَاۤthatاِلٰهُكُمْyour godاِلٰهٌ(is) Godوَّاحِدٌ ۚOneفَهَلْso willاَنْتُمْyouمُّسْلِمُوْنَ submit (to Him)
(21:108) Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?"
فَاِنْBut ifتَوَلَّوْاthey turn awayفَقُلْthen sayاٰذَنْتُكُمْI (have) announced to youعَلٰیequallyسَوَآءٍ ؕequallyوَ اِنْAnd notاَدْرِیْۤI knowاَقَرِیْبٌwhether is nearاَمْorبَعِیْدٌfarمَّاwhatتُوْعَدُوْنَ you are promised
(21:109) But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.
اِنَّهٗIndeed Heیَعْلَمُknowsالْجَهْرَthe declaredمِنَ[of]الْقَوْلِ[the] speechوَ یَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتَكْتُمُوْنَ you conceal
(21:110) Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal.
وَ اِنْAnd notاَدْرِیْI knowلَعَلَّهٗperhaps it may beفِتْنَةٌa trialلَّكُمْfor youوَ مَتَاعٌand an enjoymentاِلٰیforحِیْنٍ a time
(21:111) And I know not; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time."
قٰلَHe saidرَبِّMy Lord!احْكُمْjudgeبِالْحَقِّ ؕin truthوَ رَبُّنَاAnd our Lordالرَّحْمٰنُ(is) the Most Graciousالْمُسْتَعَانُthe One Whose help is soughtعَلٰیagainstمَاwhatتَصِفُوْنَ۠you attribute
(21:112) [The Prophet] has said, "My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe."
22. Al-Haj Page 33222. Al-Hajبِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِیٰۤاَیُّهَاO (mankind)النَّاسُ(O) mankindاتَّقُوْاFearرَبَّكُمْ ۚyour LordاِنَّIndeedزَلْزَلَةَ(the) convulsionالسَّاعَةِ(of) the Hourشَیْءٌ(is) a thingعَظِیْمٌ great
(22:1) O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.
یَوْمَ(The) Dayتَرَوْنَهَاyou will see itتَذْهَلُwill forgetكُلُّeveryمُرْضِعَةٍnursing motherعَمَّاۤthat whichاَرْضَعَتْshe was nursingوَ تَضَعُand will deliverكُلُّeveryذَاتِpregnant womanحَمْلٍpregnant womanحَمْلَهَاher loadوَ تَرَیand you will seeالنَّاسَ[the] mankindسُكٰرٰیintoxicatedوَ مَاwhile notهُمْtheyبِسُكٰرٰی(are) intoxicatedوَ لٰكِنَّbutعَذَابَ(the) punishmentاللّٰهِ(of) Allahشَدِیْدٌ (will be) severe
(22:2) On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
وَ مِنَAnd amongالنَّاسِthe mankindمَنْ(is he) whoیُّجَادِلُdisputesفِیconcerningاللّٰهِAllahبِغَیْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledgeوَّ یَتَّبِعُand followsكُلَّeveryشَیْطٰنٍdevilمَّرِیْدٍۙrebellious
(22:3) And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.
كُتِبَIt has been decreedعَلَیْهِfor himاَنَّهٗthat heمَنْwhoتَوَلَّاهُbefriends himفَاَنَّهٗthen indeed heیُضِلُّهٗwill misguide himوَ یَهْدِیْهِand will guide himاِلٰیtoعَذَابِ(the) punishmentالسَّعِیْرِ (of) the Blaze
(22:4) It has been decreed for every devil that whoever turns to him - he will misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Blaze.
یٰۤاَیُّهَاO mankindالنَّاسُO mankindاِنْIfكُنْتُمْyou areفِیْinرَیْبٍdoubtمِّنَaboutالْبَعْثِthe Resurrectionفَاِنَّاthen indeed, WeخَلَقْنٰكُمْWe created youمِّنْfromتُرَابٍdustثُمَّthenمِنْfromنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropثُمَّthenمِنْfromعَلَقَةٍa clinging substanceثُمَّthenمِنْfromمُّضْغَةٍan embryonic lumpمُّخَلَّقَةٍformedوَّ غَیْرِand unformedمُخَلَّقَةٍand unformedلِّنُبَیِّنَthat We may make clearلَكُمْ ؕto youوَ نُقِرُّAnd We cause to remainفِیinالْاَرْحَامِthe wombsمَاwhatنَشَآءُWe willاِلٰۤیforاَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّیappointedثُمَّthenنُخْرِجُكُمْWe bring you outطِفْلًا(as) a childثُمَّ[then]لِتَبْلُغُوْۤاthat you may reachاَشُدَّكُمْ ۚ[your] maturityوَ مِنْكُمْAnd among youمَّنْ(is he) whoیُّتَوَفّٰیdiesوَ مِنْكُمْand among youمَّنْ(is he) whoیُّرَدُّis returnedاِلٰۤیtoاَرْذَلِthe most abjectالْعُمُرِageلِكَیْلَاso that notیَعْلَمَhe knowsمِنْۢafterبَعْدِafterعِلْمٍhaving knownشَیْـًٔا ؕanythingوَ تَرَیAnd you seeالْاَرْضَthe earthهَامِدَةًbarrenفَاِذَاۤthen whenاَنْزَلْنَاWe send downعَلَیْهَاon itالْمَآءَwaterاهْتَزَّتْit gets stirredوَ رَبَتْand it swellsوَ اَنْۢبَتَتْand growsمِنْofكُلِّeveryزَوْجٍۭkindبَهِیْجٍ beautiful
(22:5) O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.
22. Al-Haj Page 333ذٰلِكَThatبِاَنَّ(is) becauseاللّٰهَAllahهُوَHeالْحَقُّ(is) the Truthوَ اَنَّهٗAnd that Heیُحْیِ[He] gives lifeالْمَوْتٰی(to) the deadوَ اَنَّهٗand that Heعَلٰی(is) overكُلِّeveryشَیْءٍthingقَدِیْرٌۙAll-Powerful
(22:6) That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent
وَّ اَنَّAnd thatالسَّاعَةَthe Hourاٰتِیَةٌwill comeلَّا(there is) noرَیْبَdoubtفِیْهَا ۙabout itوَ اَنَّand thatاللّٰهَAllahیَبْعَثُwill resurrectمَنْ(those) whoفِی(are) inالْقُبُوْرِ the graves
(22:7) And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.
وَ مِنَAnd amongالنَّاسِmankindمَنْ(is he) whoیُّجَادِلُdisputesفِیconcerningاللّٰهِAllahبِغَیْرِwithoutعِلْمٍany knowledgeوَّ لَاand notهُدًیany guidanceوَّ لَاand notكِتٰبٍa Bookمُّنِیْرٍۙenlightening
(22:8) And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],
ثَانِیَTwistingعِطْفِهٖhis neckلِیُضِلَّto misleadعَنْfromسَبِیْلِ(the) wayاللّٰهِ ؕ(of) AllahلَهٗFor himفِیinالدُّنْیَاthe worldخِزْیٌ(is) disgraceوَّ نُذِیْقُهٗand We will make him tasteیَوْمَ(on the) Dayالْقِیٰمَةِ(of) Resurrectionعَذَابَ(the) punishmentالْحَرِیْقِ (of) the Burning Fire
(22:9) Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allah. For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],
ذٰلِكَThatبِمَا(is) for whatقَدَّمَتْhave sent forthیَدٰكَyour handsوَ اَنَّand thatاللّٰهَAllahلَیْسَis notبِظَلَّامٍunjustلِّلْعَبِیْدِ۠to His slaves
(22:10) "That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants."
وَ مِنَAnd amongالنَّاسِthe mankindمَنْ(is he) whoیَّعْبُدُworshipsاللّٰهَAllahعَلٰیonحَرْفٍ ۚan edgeفَاِنْAnd ifاَصَابَهٗbefalls himخَیْرُgoodطْمَاَنَّhe is contentبِهٖ ۚwith itوَ اِنْand ifاَصَابَتْهُbefalls himفِتْنَةُa trialنْقَلَبَhe turnsعَلٰیonوَجْهِهٖ ۚ۫his faceخَسِرَHe has lostالدُّنْیَاthe worldوَ الْاٰخِرَةَ ؕand the HereafterذٰلِكَThatهُوَ[it]الْخُسْرَانُ(is) the lossالْمُبِیْنُ clear
(22:11) And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
یَدْعُوْاHe callsمِنْbesidesدُوْنِbesidesاللّٰهِAllahمَاwhatلَاnotیَضُرُّهٗharms himوَ مَاand whatلَاnotیَنْفَعُهٗ ؕbenefits himذٰلِكَThatهُوَ[it]الضَّلٰلُ(is) the strayingالْبَعِیْدُۚfar away
(22:12) He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.
یَدْعُوْاHe callsلَمَنْ(one) whoضَرُّهٗۤhis harmاَقْرَبُ(is) closerمِنْthanنَّفْعِهٖ ؕhis benefitلَبِئْسَSurely an evilالْمَوْلٰیprotectorوَ لَبِئْسَand surely an evilالْعَشِیْرُ friend!
(22:13) He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit - how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.
اِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahیُدْخِلُwill admitالَّذِیْنَthose whoاٰمَنُوْاbelieveوَ عَمِلُواand doالصّٰلِحٰتِthe righteous deedsجَنّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِیْflowمِنْfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itالْاَنْهٰرُ ؕthe riversاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahیَفْعَلُdoesمَاwhatیُرِیْدُ He intends
(22:14) Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.
مَنْWhoeverكَانَ[is]یَظُنُّthinksاَنْthatلَّنْnotیَّنْصُرَهُAllah will help himاللّٰهُAllah will help himفِیinالدُّنْیَاthe worldوَ الْاٰخِرَةِand the Hereafterفَلْیَمْدُدْthen let him extendبِسَبَبٍa ropeاِلَیtoالسَّمَآءِthe skyثُمَّthenلْیَقْطَعْlet him cut offفَلْیَنْظُرْthen let him seeهَلْwhetherیُذْهِبَنَّwill removeكَیْدُهٗhis planمَاwhatیَغِیْظُ enrages
(22:15) Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?
22. Al-Haj Page 334وَ كَذٰلِكَAnd thusاَنْزَلْنٰهُWe sent it downاٰیٰتٍۭ(as) clear Versesبَیِّنٰتٍ ۙ(as) clear Versesوَّ اَنَّand thatاللّٰهَAllahیَهْدِیْguidesمَنْwhomیُّرِیْدُ He intends
(22:16) And thus have We sent the Qur'an down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends.
اِنَّIndeedالَّذِیْنَthose whoاٰمَنُوْاhave believedوَ الَّذِیْنَand those whoهَادُوْاwere Jewsوَ الصّٰبِـِٕیْنَand the Sabiansوَ النَّصٰرٰیand the Christiansوَ الْمَجُوْسَand the Majusوَ الَّذِیْنَand those whoاَشْرَكُوْۤا ۖۗ(are) polytheistsاِنَّindeedاللّٰهَAllahیَفْصِلُwill judgeبَیْنَهُمْbetween themیَوْمَ(on) the Dayالْقِیٰمَةِ ؕ(of) the ResurrectionاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahعَلٰیoverكُلِّeveryشَیْءٍthingشَهِیْدٌ (is) a Witness
(22:17) Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allah - Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, over all things, Witness.
اَلَمْDo notتَرَyou seeاَنَّthatاللّٰهَAllahیَسْجُدُprostratesلَهٗto Himمَنْwhoeverفِی(is) inالسَّمٰوٰتِthe heavensوَ مَنْand whoeverفِی(is) inالْاَرْضِthe earthوَ الشَّمْسُand the sunوَ الْقَمَرُand the moonوَ النُّجُوْمُand the starsوَ الْجِبَالُand the mountainsوَ الشَّجَرُand the treesوَ الدَّوَآبُّand the moving creaturesوَ كَثِیْرٌand manyمِّنَofالنَّاسِ ؕthe peopleوَ كَثِیْرٌBut manyحَقَّ(is) justly dueعَلَیْهِon himالْعَذَابُ ؕthe punishmentوَ مَنْAnd whoeverیُّهِنِAllah humiliatesاللّٰهُAllah humiliatesفَمَاthen notلَهٗfor himمِنْanyمُّكْرِمٍ ؕbestower of honorاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahیَفْعَلُdoesمَاwhatیَشَآءُؕ۩He wills
(22:18) Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.
هٰذٰنِThese twoخَصْمٰنِopponentsاخْتَصَمُوْاdisputeفِیْconcerningرَبِّهِمْ ؗtheir LordفَالَّذِیْنَBut those whoكَفَرُوْاdisbelievedقُطِّعَتْwill be cut outلَهُمْfor themثِیَابٌgarmentsمِّنْofنَّارٍ ؕfireیُصَبُّWill be pouredمِنْoverفَوْقِoverرُءُوْسِهِمُtheir headsالْحَمِیْمُۚ[the] scalding water
(22:19) These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water
یُصْهَرُWill be meltedبِهٖwith itمَاwhatفِیْ(is) inبُطُوْنِهِمْtheir belliesوَ الْجُلُوْدُؕand the skins
(22:20) By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.
وَ لَهُمْAnd for themمَّقَامِعُ(are) hooked rodsمِنْofحَدِیْدٍ iron
(22:21) And for [striking] them are maces of iron.
كُلَّمَاۤEvery timeاَرَادُوْۤاthey wantاَنْtoیَّخْرُجُوْاcome outمِنْهَاfrom itمِنْfromغَمٍّanguishاُعِیْدُوْاthey will be returnedفِیْهَا ۗthereinوَ ذُوْقُوْاTasteعَذَابَ(the) punishmentالْحَرِیْقِ۠(of) the Burning Fire!
(22:22) Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"
اِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahیُدْخِلُwill admitالَّذِیْنَthose whoاٰمَنُوْاbelieveوَ عَمِلُواand doالصّٰلِحٰتِthe righteous deedsجَنّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِیْflowمِنْfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itالْاَنْهٰرُthe riversیُحَلَّوْنَThey will be adornedفِیْهَاthereinمِنْwithاَسَاوِرَbraceletsمِنْofذَهَبٍgoldوَّ لُؤْلُؤًا ؕand pearlوَ لِبَاسُهُمْand their garmentsفِیْهَاthereinحَرِیْرٌ (will be of) silk
(22:23) Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.
22. Al-Haj Page 335وَ هُدُوْۤاAnd they were guidedاِلَیtoالطَّیِّبِthe goodمِنَofالْقَوْلِ ۖۚthe speechوَ هُدُوْۤاand they were guidedاِلٰیtoصِرَاطِ(the) pathالْحَمِیْدِ (of) the Praiseworthy
(22:24) And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
اِنَّIndeedالَّذِیْنَthose whoكَفَرُوْاdisbelievedوَ یَصُدُّوْنَand hinderعَنْfromسَبِیْلِ(the) wayاللّٰهِ(of) Allahوَ الْمَسْجِدِand Al-Masjid Al-Haraamالْحَرَامِand Al-Masjid Al-HaraamالَّذِیْwhichجَعَلْنٰهُWe made itلِلنَّاسِfor the mankindسَوَآءَequalلْعَاكِفُ(are) the residentفِیْهِthereinوَ الْبَادِ ؕand the visitorوَ مَنْand whoeverیُّرِدْintendsفِیْهِthereinبِاِلْحَادٍۭof deviationبِظُلْمٍ(or) wrongdoingنُّذِقْهُWe will make him tasteمِنْofعَذَابٍa punishmentاَلِیْمٍ۠painful
(22:25) Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
وَ اِذْAnd whenبَوَّاْنَاWe assignedلِاِبْرٰهِیْمَto Ibrahimمَكَانَ(the) siteالْبَیْتِ(of) the HouseاَنْThatلَّا(do) notتُشْرِكْassociateبِیْwith Meشَیْـًٔاanythingوَّ طَهِّرْand purifyبَیْتِیَMy Houseلِلطَّآىِٕفِیْنَfor those who circumambulateوَ الْقَآىِٕمِیْنَand those who standوَ الرُّكَّعِand those who bowالسُّجُوْدِ (and) those who prostrate
(22:26) And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.
وَ اَذِّنْAnd proclaimفِیtoالنَّاسِ[the] mankindبِالْحَجِّ[of] the Pilgrimageیَاْتُوْكَthey will come to youرِجَالًا(on) footوَّ عَلٰیand onكُلِّeveryضَامِرٍlean camelیَّاْتِیْنَthey will comeمِنْfromكُلِّeveryفَجٍّmountain highwayعَمِیْقٍۙdistant
(22:27) And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -
لِّیَشْهَدُوْاThat they may witnessمَنَافِعَbenefitsلَهُمْfor themوَ یَذْكُرُواand mentionاسْمَ(the) nameاللّٰهِ(of) AllahفِیْۤonاَیَّامٍdaysمَّعْلُوْمٰتٍknownعَلٰیoverمَاwhatرَزَقَهُمْHe has provided themمِّنْۢofبَهِیْمَةِ(the) beastالْاَنْعَامِ ۚ(of) cattleفَكُلُوْاSo eatمِنْهَاof themوَ اَطْعِمُواand feedالْبَآىِٕسَthe miserableالْفَقِیْرَؗthe poor
(22:28) That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
ثُمَّThenلْیَقْضُوْاlet them completeتَفَثَهُمْtheir prescribed dutiesوَ لْیُوْفُوْاand fulfilنُذُوْرَهُمْtheir vowsوَ لْیَطَّوَّفُوْاand circumambulateبِالْبَیْتِthe Houseالْعَتِیْقِ [the] Ancient
(22:29) Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."
ذٰلِكَ ۗThatوَ مَنْand whoeverیُّعَظِّمْhonorsحُرُمٰتِ(the) sacred ritesاللّٰهِ(of) Allahفَهُوَthen itخَیْرٌ(is) bestلَّهٗfor himعِنْدَnearرَبِّهٖ ؕhis Lordوَ اُحِلَّتْAnd are made lawfulلَكُمُto youالْاَنْعَامُthe cattleاِلَّاexceptمَاwhatیُتْلٰیis recitedعَلَیْكُمْto youفَاجْتَنِبُواSo avoidالرِّجْسَthe abominationمِنَofالْاَوْثَانِthe idolsوَ اجْتَنِبُوْاand avoidقَوْلَ(the) wordالزُّوْرِۙfalse
(22:30) That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
22. Al-Haj Page 336حُنَفَآءَBeing uprightلِلّٰهِto Allahغَیْرَnotمُشْرِكِیْنَassociating partnersبِهٖ ؕwith Himوَ مَنْAnd whoeverیُّشْرِكْassociates partnersبِاللّٰهِwith Allahفَكَاَنَّمَاthen (it is) as thoughخَرَّhe had fallenمِنَfromالسَّمَآءِthe skyفَتَخْطَفُهُand (had) snatched himالطَّیْرُthe birdsاَوْorتَهْوِیْhad blownبِهِhimالرِّیْحُthe windفِیْtoمَكَانٍa placeسَحِیْقٍ far off
(22:31) Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.
ذٰلِكَ ۗThatوَ مَنْand whoeverیُّعَظِّمْhonorsشَعَآىِٕرَ(the) Symbolsاللّٰهِ(of) Allahفَاِنَّهَاthen indeed itمِنْ(is) fromتَقْوَی(the) pietyالْقُلُوْبِ (of) the hearts
(22:32) That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
لَكُمْFor youفِیْهَاthereinمَنَافِعُ(are) benefitsاِلٰۤیforاَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّیappointedثُمَّthenمَحِلُّهَاۤtheir place of sacrificeاِلَی(is) atالْبَیْتِthe Houseالْعَتِیْقِ۠the Ancient
(22:33) For you the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.
وَ لِكُلِّAnd for everyاُمَّةٍnationجَعَلْنَاWe have appointedمَنْسَكًاa riteلِّیَذْكُرُواthat they may mentionاسْمَ(the) nameاللّٰهِ(of) AllahعَلٰیoverمَاwhatرَزَقَهُمْHe (has) provided themمِّنْۢofبَهِیْمَةِ(the) beastالْاَنْعَامِ ؕ(of) cattleفَاِلٰهُكُمْAnd your Godاِلٰهٌ(is) GodوَّاحِدٌOneفَلَهٗۤso to Himاَسْلِمُوْا ؕsubmitوَ بَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsالْمُخْبِتِیْنَۙ(to) the humble ones
(22:34) And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]
الَّذِیْنَThoseاِذَاwhenذُكِرَis mentionedاللّٰهُAllahوَ جِلَتْfearقُلُوْبُهُمْtheir heartsوَ الصّٰبِرِیْنَand those who are patientعَلٰیoverمَاۤwhateverاَصَابَهُمْhas afflicted themوَ الْمُقِیْمِیand those who establishالصَّلٰوةِ ۙthe prayerوَ مِمَّاand out of whatرَزَقْنٰهُمْWe have provided themیُنْفِقُوْنَ they spend
(22:35) Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them.
وَ الْبُدْنَAnd the camels and cattleجَعَلْنٰهَاWe have made themلَكُمْfor youمِّنْamongشَعَآىِٕرِ(the) Symbolsاللّٰهِ(of) Allahلَكُمْfor youفِیْهَاthereinخَیْرٌ ۖۗ(is) goodفَاذْكُرُواSo mentionاسْمَ(the) nameاللّٰهِ(of) Allahعَلَیْهَاover themصَوَآفَّ ۚ(when) lined upفَاِذَاand whenوَجَبَتْare downجُنُوْبُهَاtheir sidesفَكُلُوْاthen eatمِنْهَاfrom themوَ اَطْعِمُواand feedالْقَانِعَthe needy who do not askوَ الْمُعْتَرَّ ؕand the needy who askكَذٰلِكَThusسَخَّرْنٰهَاWe have subjected themلَكُمْto youلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَشْكُرُوْنَ be grateful
(22:36) And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.
لَنْWill notیَّنَالَreachاللّٰهَAllahلُحُوْمُهَاtheir meatوَ لَاand notدِمَآؤُهَاtheir bloodوَ لٰكِنْbutیَّنَالُهُreaches Himالتَّقْوٰیthe pietyمِنْكُمْ ؕfrom youكَذٰلِكَThusسَخَّرَهَاHe subjected themلَكُمْto youلِتُكَبِّرُواso that you may magnifyاللّٰهَAllahعَلٰیforمَاwhatهَدٰىكُمْ ؕHe has guided youوَ بَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsالْمُحْسِنِیْنَ (to) the good-doers
(22:37) Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.
اِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahیُدٰفِعُdefendsعَنِdefendsالَّذِیْنَthose whoاٰمَنُوْا ؕbelieveاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahلَا(does) notیُحِبُّlikeكُلَّeveryخَوَّانٍtreacherousكَفُوْرٍ۠ungrateful
(22:38) Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
22. Al-Haj Page 337اُذِنَPermission is givenلِلَّذِیْنَto those whoیُقٰتَلُوْنَare being foughtبِاَنَّهُمْbecause theyظُلِمُوْا ؕwere wrongedوَ اِنَّAnd indeedاللّٰهَAllahعَلٰیforنَصْرِهِمْtheir victoryلَقَدِیْرُۙ(is) surely Able
(22:39) Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.
لَّذِیْنَThose whoاُخْرِجُوْاhave been evictedمِنْfromدِیَارِهِمْtheir homesبِغَیْرِwithoutحَقٍّrightاِلَّاۤexceptاَنْthatیَّقُوْلُوْاthey saidرَبُّنَاOur Lordاللّٰهُ ؕ(is) Allahوَ لَوْ لَاAnd if notدَفْعُAllah checksاللّٰهِAllah checksالنَّاسَthe peopleبَعْضَهُمْsome of themبِبَعْضٍby othersلَّهُدِّمَتْsurely (would) have been demolishedصَوَامِعُmonasteriesوَ بِیَعٌand churchesوَّ صَلَوٰتٌand synagoguesوَّ مَسٰجِدُand masajidیُذْكَرُis mentionedفِیْهَاin itاسْمُ(the) name of Allahاللّٰهِ(the) name of Allahكَثِیْرًا ؕmuchوَ لَیَنْصُرَنَّAnd surely Allah will helpاللّٰهُAnd surely Allah will helpمَنْ(those) whoیَّنْصُرُهٗ ؕhelp HimاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahلَقَوِیٌّ(is) surely All-Strongعَزِیْزٌ All-Mighty
(22:40) [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
اَلَّذِیْنَThose whoاِنْifمَّكَّنّٰهُمْWe establish themفِیinالْاَرْضِthe landاَقَامُواthey establishالصَّلٰوةَthe prayerوَ اٰتَوُاand they giveالزَّكٰوةَzakahوَ اَمَرُوْاand they enjoinبِالْمَعْرُوْفِthe rightوَ نَهَوْاand forbidعَنِfromالْمُنْكَرِ ؕthe wrongوَ لِلّٰهِAnd for Allahعَاقِبَةُ(is the) endالْاُمُوْرِ (of) the matters
(22:41) [And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.
وَ اِنْAnd ifیُّكَذِّبُوْكَthey deny youفَقَدْso verilyكَذَّبَتْdeniedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themقَوْمُ(the) peopleنُوْحٍ(of) Nuhوَّ عَادٌand Aadوَّ ثَمُوْدُۙand Thamud
(22:42) And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - so, before them, did the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud deny [their prophets],
وَ قَوْمُAnd (the) peopleاِبْرٰهِیْمَ(of) Ibrahimوَ قَوْمُand (the) peopleلُوْطٍۙ(of) Lut
(22:43) And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot
وَّ اَصْحٰبُAnd the inhabitantsمَدْیَنَ ۚ(of) Madyanوَ كُذِّبَAnd Musa was deniedمُوْسٰیAnd Musa was deniedفَاَمْلَیْتُso I granted respiteلِلْكٰفِرِیْنَto the disbelieversثُمَّthenاَخَذْتُهُمْ ۚI seized themفَكَیْفَand howكَانَwasنَكِیْرِ My punishment
(22:44) And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
فَكَاَیِّنْAnd how manyمِّنْofقَرْیَةٍa townshipاَهْلَكْنٰهَاWe have destroyed itوَ هِیَwhile itظَالِمَةٌwas doing wrongفَهِیَso itخَاوِیَةٌfellعَلٰیonعُرُوْشِهَاits roofsوَ بِئْرٍand wellمُّعَطَّلَةٍabandonedوَّ قَصْرٍand castleمَّشِیْدٍ lofty
(22:45) And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.
اَفَلَمْSo have notیَسِیْرُوْاthey traveledفِیinالْاَرْضِthe landفَتَكُوْنَand isلَهُمْfor themقُلُوْبٌheartsیَّعْقِلُوْنَ(to) reasonبِهَاۤwith itاَوْorاٰذَانٌearsیَّسْمَعُوْنَ(to) hearبِهَا ۚwith itفَاِنَّهَاFor indeed [it]لَاnotتَعْمَی(are) blindedالْاَبْصَارُthe eyesوَ لٰكِنْbutتَعْمَی(are) blindedالْقُلُوْبُthe heartsالَّتِیْwhichفِی(are) inالصُّدُوْرِ the breasts
(22:46) So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
