فَلْیَدْعُ Then let him call نَادِیَهٗۙ his associates سَنَدْعُ We will call الزَّبَانِیَةَۙ the Angels of Hell كَلَّا ؕ Nay! لَا (Do) not تُطِعْهُ obey him وَ اسْجُدْ But prostrate وَ اقْتَرِبْ۠۩ and draw near (to Allah) 97. Al-Qadr Page 598 97. Al-Qadr بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ اِنَّاۤ Indeed We اَنْزَلْنٰهُ revealed it فِیْ in لَیْلَةِ (the) Night الْقَدْرِۚۖ (of) Power وَ مَاۤ And what اَدْرٰىكَ can make you know مَا what لَیْلَةُ (the) Night الْقَدْرِؕ (of) Power (is) لَیْلَةُ (The) Night الْقَدْرِ ۙ۬ (of) Power خَیْرٌ (is) better مِّنْ than اَلْفِ a thousand شَهْرٍؕؔ month(s) تَنَزَّلُ Descend الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ the Angels وَ الرُّوْحُ and the Spirit فِیْهَا therein بِاِذْنِ by (the) permission رَبِّهِمْ ۚ (of) their Lord مِنْ for كُلِّ every اَمْرٍۙۛ affair سَلٰمٌ ۛ۫ Peace هِیَ it (is) حَتّٰی until مَطْلَعِ (the) emergence الْفَجْرِ۠ (of) the dawn 98. Al-Bayyinah بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ لَمْ Not یَكُنِ were الَّذِیْنَ those who كَفَرُوْا disbelieved مِنْ from اَهْلِ (the) People الْكِتٰبِ of the Book وَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ and the polytheists مُنْفَكِّیْنَ to be abandoned حَتّٰی until تَاْتِیَهُمُ (there) comes to them الْبَیِّنَةُۙ the clear evidence رَسُوْلٌ A Messenger مِّنَ from اللّٰهِ Allah یَتْلُوْا reciting صُحُفًا pages مُّطَهَّرَةًۙ purified فِیْهَا Wherein كُتُبٌ (are) writings قَیِّمَةٌؕ correct وَ مَا And not تَفَرَّقَ became divided الَّذِیْنَ those who اُوْتُوا were given الْكِتٰبَ the Book اِلَّا until مِنْۢ from بَعْدِ after مَا what جَآءَتْهُمُ came (to) them الْبَیِّنَةُؕ (of) the clear evidence وَ مَاۤ And not اُمِرُوْۤا they were commanded اِلَّا except لِیَعْبُدُوا to worship اللّٰهَ Allah مُخْلِصِیْنَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him الدِّیْنَ ۙ۬ (in) the religion حُنَفَآءَ upright وَ یُقِیْمُوا and to establish الصَّلٰوةَ the prayer وَ یُؤْتُوا and to give الزَّكٰوةَ the Zakah وَ ذٰلِكَ And that دِیْنُ (is the) religion الْقَیِّمَةِؕ the correct اِنَّ Indeed الَّذِیْنَ those who كَفَرُوْا disbelieve مِنْ from اَهْلِ (the) People الْكِتٰبِ (of) the Book وَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ and the polytheists فِیْ (will be) in نَارِ (the) Fire جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell خٰلِدِیْنَ abiding eternally فِیْهَا ؕ therein اُولٰٓىِٕكَ Those هُمْ they شَرُّ (are the) worst الْبَرِیَّةِؕ (of) the creatures اِنَّ Indeed الَّذِیْنَ those who اٰمَنُوْا believe وَ عَمِلُوا and do الصّٰلِحٰتِ ۙ righteous deeds اُولٰٓىِٕكَ those هُمْ they خَیْرُ (are the) best الْبَرِیَّةِؕ (of) the creatures 98. Al-Bayyinah Page 599 جَزَآؤُهُمْ Their reward عِنْدَ (is) with رَبِّهِمْ their Lord جَنّٰتُ Gardens عَدْنٍ (of) Eternity تَجْرِیْ flow مِنْ from تَحْتِهَا underneath them الْاَنْهٰرُ the rivers خٰلِدِیْنَ will abide فِیْهَاۤ therein اَبَدًا ؕ forever رَضِیَ (will be) pleased اللّٰهُ Allah عَنْهُمْ with them وَ رَضُوْا and they (will be) pleased عَنْهُ ؕ with Him ذٰلِكَ That لِمَنْ (is) for whoever خَشِیَ feared رَبَّهٗ۠ his Lord 99. Az-Zalzalah بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ اِذَا When زُلْزِلَتِ is shaken الْاَرْضُ the earth زِلْزَالَهَاۙ with its earthquake وَ اَخْرَجَتِ And brings forth الْاَرْضُ the earth اَثْقَالَهَاۙ its burdens وَ قَالَ And says الْاِنْسَانُ man مَا What لَهَاۚ (is) with it یَوْمَىِٕذٍ That Day تُحَدِّثُ it will report اَخْبَارَهَاۙ its news بِاَنَّ Because رَبَّكَ your Lord اَوْحٰی inspired لَهَاؕ [to] it یَوْمَىِٕذٍ That Day یَّصْدُرُ will proceed النَّاسُ the mankind اَشْتَاتًا ۙ۬ (in) scattered groups لِّیُرَوْا to be shown اَعْمَالَهُمْؕ their deeds فَمَنْ So whoever یَّعْمَلْ does مِثْقَالَ (equal to the) weight ذَرَّةٍ (of) an atom خَیْرًا good یَّرَهٗؕ will see it وَ مَنْ And whoever یَّعْمَلْ does مِثْقَالَ (equal to the) weight ذَرَّةٍ (of) an atom شَرًّا evil یَّرَهٗ۠ will see it 100. Al-'Adiyat بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ وَ الْعٰدِیٰتِ By the racers ضَبْحًاۙ panting فَالْمُوْرِیٰتِ And the producers of sparks قَدْحًاۙ striking فَالْمُغِیْرٰتِ And the chargers صُبْحًاۙ (at) dawn فَاَثَرْنَ Then raise بِهٖ thereby نَقْعًاۙ dust فَوَسَطْنَ Then penetrate (in the) center بِهٖ thereby جَمْعًاۙ (of) troops اِنَّ Indeed الْاِنْسَانَ mankind لِرَبِّهٖ to his Lord لَكَنُوْدٌۚ (is) surely ungrateful وَ اِنَّهٗ And indeed he عَلٰی to ذٰلِكَ that لَشَهِیْدٌۚ surely (is) a witness وَ اِنَّهٗ And indeed he (is) لِحُبِّ in (the) love الْخَیْرِ (of) wealth لَشَدِیْدٌؕ (is) surely intense اَفَلَا But does not یَعْلَمُ he know اِذَا when بُعْثِرَ will be scattered مَا what فِی (is) in الْقُبُوْرِۙ the graves 100. Al-'Adiyat Page 600 وَ حُصِّلَ And is made apparent مَا what فِی (is) in الصُّدُوْرِۙ the breasts اِنَّ Indeed رَبَّهُمْ their Lord بِهِمْ about them یَوْمَىِٕذٍ that Day لَّخَبِیْرٌ۠ (is) surely All-Aware 101. Al-Qari'ah بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ اَلْقَارِعَةُۙ The Striking Calamity! مَا What الْقَارِعَةُۚ (is) the Striking Calamity وَ مَاۤ And what اَدْرٰىكَ will make you know مَا what الْقَارِعَةُؕ (is) the Striking Calamity یَوْمَ (The) Day یَكُوْنُ will be النَّاسُ the mankind كَالْفَرَاشِ like moths الْمَبْثُوْثِۙ scattered وَ تَكُوْنُ And will be الْجِبَالُ the mountains كَالْعِهْنِ like wool الْمَنْفُوْشِؕ fluffed up فَاَمَّا Then as for مَنْ (him) whose ثَقُلَتْ are heavy مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ his scales فَهُوَ Then he فِیْ (will be) in عِیْشَةٍ a life رَّاضِیَةٍؕ pleasant وَ اَمَّا But as for مَنْ (him) whose خَفَّتْ are light مَوَازِیْنُهٗۙ his scales فَاُمُّهٗ His abode هَاوِیَةٌؕ (will be the) Pit وَ مَاۤ And what اَدْرٰىكَ will make you know مَا what هِیَهْؕ it is نَارٌ A Fire حَامِیَةٌ۠ intensely hot 102. At-Takathur بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ اَلْهٰىكُمُ Diverts you التَّكَاثُرُۙ the competition to increase حَتّٰی Until زُرْتُمُ you visit الْمَقَابِرَؕ the graves كَلَّا Nay! سَوْفَ Soon تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ you will know ثُمَّ Then كَلَّا nay! سَوْفَ Soon تَعْلَمُوْنَؕ you will know
24. That is: The man who has such character, will be blessed by his Lord in such way that he will be happy and content. This verse has only two words, but in it is hidden a world of glad tidings for the bearers of these qualities who will be so blessed by Allah.
