Quran Text of Verse 100-108اَوَ لَمْWould it notیَهْدِguideلِلَّذِیْنَ[for] those whoیَرِثُوْنَinheritالْاَرْضَthe landمِنْۢfromبَعْدِafterاَهْلِهَاۤits peopleاَنْthatلَّوْifنَشَآءُWe willedاَصَبْنٰهُمْWe (could) afflict themبِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ۚfor their sinsوَ نَطْبَعُand We put a sealعَلٰیoverقُلُوْبِهِمْtheir heartsفَهُمْso theyلَا(do) notیَسْمَعُوْنَ hear تِلْكَTheseالْقُرٰی(were) the citiesنَقُصُّWe relateعَلَیْكَto youمِنْofاَنْۢبَآىِٕهَا ۚtheir newsوَ لَقَدْAnd certainlyجَآءَتْهُمْcame to themرُسُلُهُمْtheir Messengersبِالْبَیِّنٰتِ ۚwith clear proofsفَمَاbut notكَانُوْاthey wereلِیُؤْمِنُوْاto believeبِمَاin whatكَذَّبُوْاthey (had) deniedمِنْfromقَبْلُ ؕbeforeكَذٰلِكَThusیَطْبَعُ(has been) put a sealاللّٰهُ(by) Allahعَلٰیonقُلُوْبِ(the) heartsالْكٰفِرِیْنَ (of) the disbelievers وَ مَاAnd notوَجَدْنَاWe foundلِاَكْثَرِهِمْfor most of themمِّنْ[of]عَهْدٍ ۚ(any) covenantوَ اِنْButوَّجَدْنَاۤWe foundاَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَفٰسِقِیْنَ certainly defiantly disobedient ثُمَّThenبَعَثْنَاWe sentمِنْۢfromبَعْدِهِمْafter themمُّوْسٰیMusaبِاٰیٰتِنَاۤwith Our SignsاِلٰیtoفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَ مَلَاۡىِٕهٖand his chiefsفَظَلَمُوْاBut they were unjustبِهَا ۚto themفَانْظُرْSo seeكَیْفَhowكَانَwasعَاقِبَةُ(the) endالْمُفْسِدِیْنَ (of) the corrupters وَ قَالَAnd saidمُوْسٰیMusaیٰفِرْعَوْنُO FiraunاِنِّیْIndeed, I amرَسُوْلٌa Messengerمِّنْfromرَّبِّ(the) Lordالْعٰلَمِیْنَۙ(of) the worlds 7. Al-A'raf Page 164حَقِیْقٌObligatedعَلٰۤیonاَنْthatلَّاۤnotاَقُوْلَI sayعَلَیaboutاللّٰهِAllahاِلَّاexceptالْحَقَّ ؕthe truthقَدْVerilyجِئْتُكُمْI (have) come to youبِبَیِّنَةٍwith a clear Signمِّنْfromرَّبِّكُمْyour Lordفَاَرْسِلْso sendمَعِیَwith meبَنِیْۤ(the) Childrenاِسْرَآءِیْلَؕ(of) Israel قَالَHe saidاِنْIfكُنْتَyou haveجِئْتَcomeبِاٰیَةٍwith a Signفَاْتِthen bringبِهَاۤitاِنْifكُنْتَyou areمِنَofالصّٰدِقِیْنَ the truthful فَاَلْقٰیSo he threwعَصَاهُhis staffفَاِذَاand suddenlyهِیَitثُعْبَانٌ(was) a serpentمُّبِیْنٌۚۖmanifest وَّ نَزَعَAnd he drew outیَدَهٗhis handفَاِذَاand suddenlyهِیَitبَیْضَآءُ(was) whiteلِلنّٰظِرِیْنَ۠for the observers

Translation of Verse 100-108

100. Have they not, who have inherited the land after their predecessors, learnt a lesson that if We will We may afflict them for their sins;¹⁵⁴ but We seal up their hearts,¹⁵⁵ so they do not hear.

101. These are the townships, some tidings there of We are relating to you: Verily their messengers came to them with clear signs, but since they had denied previously, they were not to believe.¹⁵⁶ Thus Allah seals up the hearts of the unbelievers.

102. And we did not find most of them true to their covenant,¹⁵⁷ and (in fact) We found most of them disobedient.¹⁵⁸

103. Then after them we sent Moosa, with Our signs, to Firaun¹⁵⁹ and his nobles. But they (too) ill-treated them (signs). So see what was the fate of the mischief-makers.¹⁶⁰

104. And Moosa said: “O Firaun ! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.

105. “Duty bound, I speak concerning Allah nothing but truth. Surely, I have come to you from your Lord with clear signs. So let the Bani Israil go with me.”¹⁶¹

106. He (Firaun) said: “If you have come with a sign,¹⁶² then produce it, if you are truthful.”

107. Then he (Moosa) cast down his staff, and lo a veritable serpent,¹⁶³

108. And then he drew out his hand, and lo! it was white (shining) for the beholders. l⁶⁴
