Quran Text of Verse 30-45یَوْمَ(The) DayنَقُوْلُWe will sayلِجَهَنَّمَto HellهَلِAreامْتَلَاْتِyou filledوَ تَقُوْلُAnd it will sayهَلْAreمِنْ(there) anyمَّزِیْدٍ more وَ اُزْلِفَتِAnd will be brought nearالْجَنَّةُthe Paradiseلِلْمُتَّقِیْنَto the righteousغَیْرَnotبَعِیْدٍ far هٰذَاThisمَا(is) whatتُوْعَدُوْنَyou were promisedلِكُلِّfor everyoneاَوَّابٍwho turnsحَفِیْظٍۚ(and) who keeps مَنْWhoخَشِیَfearedالرَّحْمٰنَthe Most Graciousبِالْغَیْبِin the unseenوَ جَآءَand cameبِقَلْبٍwith a heartمُّنِیْبِۙreturning ِ۟ادْخُلُوْهَاEnter itبِسَلٰمٍ ؕin peaceذٰلِكَThatیَوْمُ(is) a Dayالْخُلُوْدِ (of) Eternity لَهُمْFor themمَّاwhateverیَشَآءُوْنَthey wishفِیْهَاthereinوَ لَدَیْنَاand with Usمَزِیْدٌ (is) more 50. Qaf Page 520وَ كَمْAnd how manyاَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themمِّنْofقَرْنٍa generationهُمْtheyاَشَدُّ(were) strongerمِنْهُمْthan themبَطْشًا(in) powerفَنَقَّبُوْاso they exploredفِیthroughoutالْبِلَادِ ؕthe landsهَلْIs (there)مِنْanyمَّحِیْصٍ place of escape اِنَّIndeedفِیْinذٰلِكَthatلَذِكْرٰیsurely, is a reminderلِمَنْfor (one) whoكَانَisلَهٗfor himقَلْبٌa heartاَوْorاَلْقَی(who) gives earالسَّمْعَ(who) gives earوَ هُوَwhile heشَهِیْدٌ (is) a witness وَ لَقَدْAnd certainlyخَلَقْنَاWe createdالسَّمٰوٰتِthe heavensوَ الْاَرْضَand the earthوَ مَاand whateverبَیْنَهُمَا(is) between both of themفِیْinسِتَّةِsixاَیَّامٍ ۖۗperiodsوَّ مَاand (did) notمَسَّنَاtouch Usمِنْanyلُّغُوْبٍ fatigue فَاصْبِرْSo be patientعَلٰیoverمَاwhatیَقُوْلُوْنَthey sayوَ سَبِّحْand glorifyبِحَمْدِ(the) praiseرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordقَبْلَbeforeطُلُوْعِ(the) risingالشَّمْسِ(of) the sunوَ قَبْلَand beforeالْغُرُوْبِۚthe setting وَ مِنَAnd ofالَّیْلِthe nightفَسَبِّحْهُglorify Himوَ اَدْبَارَand afterالسُّجُوْدِ the prostration وَ اسْتَمِعْAnd listen!یَوْمَ(The) Dayیُنَادِwill callالْمُنَادِthe callerمِنْfromمَّكَانٍa placeقَرِیْبٍۙnear یَّوْمَ(The) Dayیَسْمَعُوْنَthey will hearالصَّیْحَةَthe Blastبِالْحَقِّ ؕin truthذٰلِكَThatیَوْمُ(is the) Dayالْخُرُوْجِ (of) coming forth اِنَّاIndeed Weنَحْنُ[We]نُحْیٖ[We] give lifeوَ نُمِیْتُand [We] cause deathوَ اِلَیْنَاand to Usالْمَصِیْرُۙ(is) the final return یَوْمَ(The) Dayتَشَقَّقُwill splitالْاَرْضُthe earthعَنْهُمْfrom themسِرَاعًا ؕhurryingذٰلِكَThatحَشْرٌ(is) a gatheringعَلَیْنَاfor Usیَسِیْرٌ easy نَحْنُWeاَعْلَمُknow bestبِمَا[of] whatیَقُوْلُوْنَthey sayوَ مَاۤand notاَنْتَ(are) youعَلَیْهِمْover themبِجَبَّارٍ ۫the one to compelفَذَكِّرْBut remindبِالْقُرْاٰنِwith the Quranمَنْwhoeverیَّخَافُfearsوَعِیْدِ۠My threat

Translation of Verse 30-45

30. ˹Beware of˺ the Day We will ask Hell, "Are you full ˹yet˺?" And it will respond, "Are there any more?"

31. And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far off.

32. ˹And it will be said to them,˺ "This is what you were promised, for whoever ˹constantly˺ turned ˹to Allah˺ and kept up ˹His commandments˺-

33. who were in awe of the Most Compassionate without seeing ˹Him˺, ¹⁰⁸⁵ and have come with a heart turning ˹only to Him˺.

34. Enter it in peace. This is the Day of eternal life!"

35. There they will have whatever they desire, and with Us is ˹even˺ more. ¹⁰⁸⁶

36. ˹Imagine˺ how many peoples We destroyed before them, who were far mightier than them. Then ˹when the torment came,˺ they ˹desperately˺ sought refuge in the land. ˹But˺ was there any escape?

37. Surely in this is a reminder for whoever has a ˹mindful˺ heart and lends an attentive ear.

38. Indeed, We created the heavens and the earth and everything in between in six Days, ¹⁰⁸⁷ and We were not ˹even˺ touched with fatigue. ¹⁰⁸⁸

39. So be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.

40. And glorify Him during part of the night ¹⁰⁸⁹ and after the prayers.

41. And listen! On the Day the caller will call out from a near place,

42. the Day all will hear the ˹mighty˺ Blast in ˹all˺ truth, ¹⁰⁹⁰ that will be the Day of emergence ˹from the graves˺.

43. It is certainly We Who give life and cause death. And to Us is the final return.

44. ˹Beware of˺ the Day the earth will split open, letting them rush forth. That will be an easy gathering for Us.

45. We know best what they say. And you ˹O Prophet˺ are not ˹there˺ to compel them ˹to believe˺. So remind with the Quran ˹only˺ those who fear My warning.

1085. This can also mean that they are in awe of their Lord as much in private as they are in public.

1088. Some scholars believe this verse comes in response to Exodus 31:17, which says, "The Lord made the heavens and the earth in six days, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed."
