Quran Text of Verse 41-50بَلْNayاِیَّاهُHim Aloneتَدْعُوْنَyou callفَیَكْشِفُand He would removeمَاwhatتَدْعُوْنَyou callاِلَیْهِupon HimاِنْifشَآءَHe willsوَ تَنْسَوْنَand you will forgetمَاwhatتُشْرِكُوْنَ۠you associate (with Him) وَ لَقَدْAnd certainlyاَرْسَلْنَاۤWe sent (Messengers)اِلٰۤیtoاُمَمٍnationsمِّنْfromقَبْلِكَbefore youفَاَخَذْنٰهُمْthen We seized themبِالْبَاْسَآءِwith adversityوَ الضَّرَّآءِand hardshipلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayیَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ humble themselves فَلَوْ لَاۤThen why notاِذْwhenجَآءَهُمْcame to themبَاْسُنَاOur punishmentتَضَرَّعُوْاthey humbled themselvesوَ لٰكِنْButقَسَتْbecame hardenedقُلُوْبُهُمْtheir heartsوَ زَیَّنَand made fair-seemingلَهُمُto themالشَّیْطٰنُthe Shaitaanمَاwhatكَانُوْاthey used toیَعْمَلُوْنَ do فَلَمَّاSo whenنَسُوْاthey forgotمَاwhatذُكِّرُوْاthey were remindedبِهٖof [it]فَتَحْنَاWe openedعَلَیْهِمْon themاَبْوَابَgatesكُلِّ(of) everyشَیْءٍ ؕthingحَتّٰۤیuntilاِذَاwhenفَرِحُوْاthey rejoicedبِمَاۤin whatاُوْتُوْۤاthey were givenاَخَذْنٰهُمْWe seized themبَغْتَةًsuddenlyفَاِذَاand thenهُمْtheyمُّبْلِسُوْنَ (were) dumbfounded 6. Al-An'am Page 133فَقُطِعَSo was cut offدَابِرُ(the) remnantالْقَوْمِ(of) the peopleالَّذِیْنَ[those] whoظَلَمُوْا ؕdid wrongوَ الْحَمْدُAnd all praises and thanksلِلّٰهِ(be) to AllahرَبِّLordالْعٰلَمِیْنَ (of) the worlds قُلْSayاَرَءَیْتُمْHave you seenاِنْifاَخَذَtook awayاللّٰهُAllahسَمْعَكُمْyour hearingوَ اَبْصَارَكُمْand your sightوَ خَتَمَand sealedعَلٰی[on]قُلُوْبِكُمْyour heartsمَّنْwhoاِلٰهٌ(is the) godغَیْرُother thanاللّٰهِAllahیَاْتِیْكُمْto bring [back] to youبِهٖ ؕwith itاُنْظُرْSeeكَیْفَhowنُصَرِّفُWe explainالْاٰیٰتِthe Signsثُمَّyetهُمْtheyیَصْدِفُوْنَ turn away قُلْSayاَرَءَیْتَكُمْHave you seenاِنْifاَتٰىكُمْcomes to youعَذَابُpunishmentاللّٰهِ(of) Allahبَغْتَةًsuddenlyاَوْorجَهْرَةًopenlyهَلْwillیُهْلَكُ(any) be destroyedاِلَّاexceptالْقَوْمُthe peopleالظّٰلِمُوْنَ the wrongdoers وَ مَاAnd notنُرْسِلُWe sendالْمُرْسَلِیْنَthe Messengersاِلَّاexceptمُبَشِّرِیْنَ(as) bearer of glad tidingsوَ مُنْذِرِیْنَ ۚand (as) warnersفَمَنْSo whoeverاٰمَنَbelievedوَ اَصْلَحَand reformedفَلَاthen noخَوْفٌfearعَلَیْهِمْupon themوَ لَاand notهُمْtheyیَحْزَنُوْنَ will grieve وَ الَّذِیْنَAnd those whoكَذَّبُوْاdeniedبِاٰیٰتِنَا[in] Our Versesیَمَسُّهُمُwill touch themالْعَذَابُthe punishmentبِمَاfor whatكَانُوْاthey used toیَفْسُقُوْنَ defiantly disobey قُلْSayلَّاۤNotاَقُوْلُ(do) I sayلَكُمْto youعِنْدِیْ(that) with meخَزَآىِٕنُ(are the) treasuresاللّٰهِ(of) Allahوَ لَاۤand notاَعْلَمُ(that) I knowالْغَیْبَthe unseenوَ لَاۤand notاَقُوْلُI sayلَكُمْto youاِنِّیْthat I (am)مَلَكٌ ۚan AngelاِنْNotاَتَّبِعُ(do) I followاِلَّاexceptمَاwhatیُوْحٰۤیis revealedاِلَیَّ ؕto meقُلْSayهَلْCanیَسْتَوِیbe equalالْاَعْمٰیthe blindوَ الْبَصِیْرُ ؕand the seeing oneاَفَلَاThen will notتَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ۠you give thought

Translation of Verse 41-50

41. No! He is the only One you would call. And if He willed, He could remove the affliction that made you invoke Him. Only then will you forget whatever you associate with Him ˹in worship˺."

42. Indeed, We have sent messengers before you ˹O Prophet˺ to other people who We put through suffering and adversity ˹for their denial˺, so perhaps they would be humbled.

43. Why did they not humble themselves when We made them suffer? Instead, their hearts were hardened, and Satan made their misdeeds appealing to them.

44. When they became oblivious to warnings, We showered them with everything they desired. But just as they became prideful of what they were given, We seized them by surprise, then they instantly fell into despair!

45. So the wrongdoers were utterly uprooted. And all praise is for Allah-Lord of all worlds.

46. Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, "Imagine if Allah were to take away your hearing or sight, or seal your hearts-who else other than Allah could restore it?" See ˹O Prophet˺ how We vary the signs, yet they still turn away.

47. Ask, "Imagine if Allah's punishment were to overwhelm you with or without warning-who would be destroyed other than the wrongdoers?"

48. We have sent messengers only as deliverers of good news and as warners. Whoever believes and does good, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.

49. But those who deny Our signs will be afflicted with punishment for their rebelliousness.

50. Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ "I do not say to you that I possess Allah's treasuries or know the unseen, nor do I claim to be an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Are those blind ˹to the truth˺ equal to those who can see? Will you not then reflect?"
