Quran Text of Verse 61-68اَللّٰهُAllahالَّذِیْ(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youالَّیْلَthe nightلِتَسْكُنُوْاthat you may restفِیْهِin itوَ النَّهَارَand the dayمُبْصِرًا ؕgiving visibilityاِنَّIndeedاللّٰهَAllahلَذُوْ(is) Full (of) Bountyفَضْلٍ(is) Full (of) Bountyعَلَیtoالنَّاسِthe peopleوَ لٰكِنَّbutاَكْثَرَmostالنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَا(do) notیَشْكُرُوْنَ give thanks ذٰلِكُمُThatاللّٰهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْyour Lordخَالِقُ(the) Creatorكُلِّ(of) allشَیْءٍ ۘthingsلَاۤ(there is) noاِلٰهَgodاِلَّاexceptهُوَ ۚؗHimفَاَنّٰیSo howتُؤْفَكُوْنَ are you deluded كَذٰلِكَThusیُؤْفَكُwere deludedالَّذِیْنَthose whoكَانُوْاwereبِاٰیٰتِ(the) Signsاللّٰهِ(of) Allahیَجْحَدُوْنَ rejecting اَللّٰهُAllahالَّذِیْ(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youالْاَرْضَthe earthقَرَارًاa place of settlementوَّ السَّمَآءَand the skyبِنَآءًa canopyوَّ صَوَّرَكُمْand He formed youفَاَحْسَنَand perfectedصُوَرَكُمْyour formsوَ رَزَقَكُمْand provided youمِّنَofالطَّیِّبٰتِ ؕthe good thingsذٰلِكُمُThatاللّٰهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْ ۖۚyour LordفَتَبٰرَكَThen blessed isاللّٰهُAllahرَبُّ(the) Lordالْعٰلَمِیْنَ (of) the worlds هُوَHeالْحَیُّ(is) the Ever-Livingلَاۤ(there is) noاِلٰهَgodاِلَّاbutهُوَHeفَادْعُوْهُso call Himمُخْلِصِیْنَ(being) sincereلَهُto Himالدِّیْنَ ؕ(in) the religionاَلْحَمْدُAll praise (be)لِلّٰهِto Allahرَبِّ(the) Lordالْعٰلَمِیْنَ (of) the worlds قُلْSayاِنِّیْIndeed, Iنُهِیْتُ[I] have been forbiddenاَنْtoاَعْبُدَworshipالَّذِیْنَthose whomتَدْعُوْنَyou callمِنْbesidesدُوْنِbesidesاللّٰهِAllahلَمَّاwhenجَآءَنِیَhave come to meالْبَیِّنٰتُthe clear proofsمِنْfromرَّبِّیْ ؗmy Lordوَ اُمِرْتُand I am commandedاَنْtoاُسْلِمَsubmitلِرَبِّto (the) Lordالْعٰلَمِیْنَ (of) the worlds 40. Ghafir Page 475هُوَHeالَّذِیْ(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمْcreated youمِّنْfromتُرَابٍdustثُمَّthenمِنْfromنُّطْفَةٍa sperm-dropثُمَّthenمِنْfromعَلَقَةٍa clinging substanceثُمَّthenیُخْرِجُكُمْHe brings you outطِفْلًا(as) a childثُمَّthenلِتَبْلُغُوْۤاlets you reachاَشُدَّكُمْyour maturityثُمَّthenلِتَكُوْنُوْاlets you becomeشُیُوْخًا ۚoldوَ مِنْكُمْand among youمَّنْ(is he) whoیُّتَوَفّٰیdiesمِنْbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَ لِتَبْلُغُوْۤاand lets you reachاَجَلًاa termمُّسَمًّیspecifiedوَّ لَعَلَّكُمْand that you mayتَعْقِلُوْنَ use reason هُوَHeالَّذِیْ(is) the One Whoیُحْیٖgives lifeوَ یُمِیْتُ ۚand causes deathفَاِذَاAnd whenقَضٰۤیHe decreesاَمْرًاa matterفَاِنَّمَاthen onlyیَقُوْلُHe saysلَهٗto itكُنْBeفَیَكُوْنُ۠and it is

Translation of Verse 61-68

61. It is Allah Who has made the night for you to rest in and the day bright. Surely Allah is ever Bountiful to humanity, but most people are ungrateful.

62. That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. How can you then be deluded ˹from the truth˺?

63. This is how those who used to reject Allah's signs were ˹also˺ deluded.

64. It is Allah Who made the earth a place of settlement for you and the sky a canopy. He shaped you ˹in the womb˺, perfecting your form. And He has provided you with what is good and lawful. That is Allah-your Lord. So Blessed is Allah, Lord of all worlds.

65. He is the Ever-Living. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. So call upon Him with sincere devotion, ˹saying,˺ "All praise is for Allah -Lord of all worlds."

66. Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ "I have been forbidden to worship those ˹idols˺ you worship besides Allah, since clear proofs have come to me from my Lord. And I have been commanded to ˹fully˺ submit to the Lord of all worlds."

67. He is the One Who created you ⁹⁷⁶ from dust, then from a sperm-drop, ⁹⁷⁷ then ˹developed you into˺ a clinging clot ˹of blood˺, ⁹⁷⁸ then He brings you forth as infants, so that you may reach your prime, and become old-though some of you ˹may˺ die sooner-reaching an appointed time, so perhaps you may understand ˹Allah's power˺.

68. He is the One Who gives life and causes death. When He decrees a matter, He simply tells it, "Be!" And it is!

Commentary

976. Your father, Adam.

977. Nuṭfah refers to the union of male and female gametes (sperm and egg) which results in the zygote after fertilization.

978. ' Alaqah , meaning the embryo resembles a leech.
